It is my pleasure, as the mayor of Salmon Cove, to welcome you to our beautiful town and to our official website.
Our town is located only ten minutes from major amenities such as a Hospital, shopping centers and swimming pool, as well as only fifteen minutes from the Danny Cleary Arena, which services a number of surrounding communities in the Conception Bay North area.
What sets us apart, however, is the abundance of nature loving experiences that are available in our town. If you love outdoor activities, we have our beautiful Iron Horse Trail, which is a multi-use trail for ATV’s, hiking and cycling, among others. Here you will enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the Town of Salmon Cove. This trail is a part of the expansive CBN T’railway which spans over 140 kilometers. If hiking is your ideal pastime, then our Trail of the Eagles will certainly not disappoint. With views of the rugged coastline and vast ocean, it is a sight to behold, and one you will want to witness over and over again.
Our most well known attraction is our gorgeous Salmon Cove Sands which is known province wide for its expansive beach and stunning scenery. This is also where you’ll find the entrance to the Trail of the Eagles. I’m confident that a day spent here will be good for your soul.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the residents of Salmon Cove and their welcoming nature. As the old saying goes, “Ask and you shall receive” is certainly a mantra that our residents are known for. I am extremely honoured to be mayor of such a wonderful town and so proud to call Salmon Cove my home.
