Hiking Trails

For those who love the great outdoors – the town of Salmon Cove has 3 beautiful trails – Iron Horse Trail, Iron Horse Trail Extension & Trail Of The Eagles.

You can look forward to an exhilarating hike, through pristine country, atop cliffs that rise one to two hundred feet above the open Atlantic.

These trails are a ‘must’ to see and walk. Often visitors have an opportunity to observe bald eagles, ruffed & spruce grouse, red squirrels and rabbits that inhabit the area. Observation posts, lookouts, picnic areas and other facilities have been provided.
